TATA TIGOR vs HONDA JAZZ - Car Comparision

Here we look into comparison of news cars in the automobile market – Tigor by TATA and Jazz by Honda.

TATA is a name which is known worldwide. Its widespread automobile market needs no introduction. TATA has been providing quality cars within affordable price ranges for ages now and the cars are extremely durable yet providing amazingly comfortable rides.

The front half of the car till the B pillar is a look alike of the TATA Tiago hatchback with a slightly different grille. Also Tata Tigor comes with projector lamps lacking in Tiago. The rear segment of the car is all new. It is much longer than Tiago. The wheelbase has been stretched by 50mm and the overall length has been increased by 246mm. This has increased the comfort of the rear passengers giving them more leg and head space. The car comes with 15 inch diamond cut allow wheels. Tigor has one of the best rear-ends seen on a sub-4m sedan. The bootlid uses a smart 4-link opening mechanism which rids the need for hinges.

The car is powered by powerful engines fuel by two variants - The 1.05-litre turbo-diesel unit and the 1.2-litre petrol motor. The 3-cylinder diesel motor puts out 70PS and 140Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The 3-cylinder petrol motor on the other hand puts out 85PS and 114Nm and is also mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Both the variants operated in two modes – City and Eco which provides amazing performance.

Honda is a Japanese multifunctional conglomerate that is known for its automobile manufacturing. Honda has been the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959, as well as the world's largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines measured by volume. Founded in the year 1948, Honda has been made synonymous with reliability and quality. Honda cars have a reputation of being the carriers of amazing design, great technology, attention to safety, better than average fuel efficiency and the ease of use and controls.

Honda Jazz is a stylish hatchback that comes in both a diesel and a petrol variant. The key features of the car include – a spacious cabin (which is a must requirement for big Indian families), paddle shifter (which is automatic with the control of the manual transmission; also it offers great flexibility and easy manoeuvring of the car by the driver) and automatic transmission CVT (which is the automatic gearshift system combining the convenience of an automatic gearbox and fuel efficiency of a manual gearbox). Various other features include – power windows, power steering, tilt steering, central locking facility, air conditioner with heater, audio system with USB and AUX, front fog lamps, rear parking camera, front dual airbags and many more.
